This was the first African Meetup and was attended by several individuals from Angola,Ethopia, Kenya, Somalia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
Current Work Challenges
- The pandemic has introduced alot of issues and concerns around the delivery of effective digital security training and most trainings now seem to be "rushed", as there is no real working strategy for trainings remotely.
- The amount of work for most individuals has increased hence there is now a great need to be concerned about mental health issues.
- Internet challenges: in most countries Internet is still deemed as a luxuy hence its cost is really high, this then gives the trainer limited time since the targetted community might not have enough resources to be online for a long period (this can either be financial or just the location does not have coverage)
- Creation of short videos on a particular training topic: this will make sure that the trainee can always have a constant reference of what need to be done and also this can minimise the data cost of attending an online course for a long period.
- Have more fun and interactive way of training by using collaborative boards or using online games
- Get sometime to detox from world events and make sure to be able to reconnect with family and friends... "Work will never end"

Collaborative Projects
- Development of guides by women experts in digital security and digital rights issues around the use of social media platforms i.e. Facebook
- Development of an online platform for young people (ages 18 - 24) for them find employment/jobs
- There will be a Virtual HelpDesk during this year's FIFAfrica and there is a team being built who will be manning the HelpDesk
