Global Gathering 2024
Welcome to the 2024 Global Gathering!
When: September 27, 28, 29
Where: Estoril, Portugal
The Global Gathering (GG) brings together digital rights networks from around the world for three days of collaboration building, knowledge sharing, brainstorming, and rejuvenation.
The 2024 programmatic themes are Ecosystem Wellbeing; Circumvention Technologies; Security, Threats, and Risks; and Digital Rights 2050. Event activities focus on enhancing networking, and collaborative discussions through meetups, workshops, project showcases, and much more!
The 2024 edition will double in size from the 2023 event to around 900-1,000 participants, part of Team CommUNITY’s three-year plan to grow the event in a safe, secure and sustainable way to the size and scope achieved pre-pandemic.

We Can Help You with your Satellite Event? Contact us!
Estoril offers various outdoor and indoor spaces for partners and colleagues to host a variety of events, from team retreats to network gatherings. Please reach out to gather@digitalrights.community if you are interested in hosting a satellite event so we can offer support! There are many benefits and services we can offer.

Global Gathering 2024 Program
This year, ONLY ONCE your application to attend the GG has been approved, you will be able to propose an an activity such as a meetup, session or workshop.
