Workshop: The Data Detox Kit and Engaging Audiences
- Who: Safa Ghnaim, Tactical Tech
- Date: Thursday, May 6th
The Data Detox Kit's friendly, non-technical and non-judgemental tone and flexible approach gives people the space to choose their own journey through controlling their data privacy and digital security, enhancing their digital wellbeing, and combating misinformation--to date reaching approximately 2 million people both online and offline worldwide. In 2020, the Data Detox Kit was featured as a resource as part of The Social Dilemma documentary on Netflix, and was even recognized for the Tech Spotlight at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center as a model of technology that seeks a more inclusive, fair, and safer future. In this session, Safa will talk more about her work on the Data Detox Kit and share some strategies for engaging general audiences.
// We will be hosting a 20 minute post-workshop networking exercise to allow folks to meet others who share their interest, and strengthen collaborations across various lines. Make sure to schedule in 20 minutes extra on your calendar, if you are interested in joining //
