Circle Title	Circle Description
Building Environmental Justice with Community Tech: From Research to Collective Action	Participants will build on findings from autonomous technological infrastructures and environmental sustainability participatory research, and discuss next steps in building alliances between groups. This includes both environmental justice and digital rights movements. Additionally, conversations will focus on identifying collective strategies to transform collected knowledge into concrete actions. The end result of the Circle is the start of a collaborative network that centers environmental justice in community technological infrastructures.
Digital Rights, Narrative Change and Reproductive Justice	Join this mutual learning space and collaborative conversation to discuss how to defend abortion rights in the face of a changing digital world. Together, participants will share lived experiences, spotlight grassroots resistance, and explore emerging strategies. Participants will also explore tools, from secure communication strategies to open-source tools and cross-platform advocacy. Additionally, time will be provided for participants to seek guidance on problems they may be facing.
Feminist Care Infrastructure: How Does It Look Like?	Despite care being central to our values, we continue to struggle with its practical application.This Circle invites us to critically unpack our understandings and practices of care-especially in times of global crisis as we are going through it right now-and to co-create shared frameworks that embed care into the heart of our communities, organizations, and collectives. Together, we will explore how to formalize care without stripping it of its relational and context-specific nature.
Forensics for all. Democratizing digital forensics for accountability in the Global Majority through collective action.	Consent-based digital forensics are the foundation of multiple efforts that seek accountability for the targeted digital surveillance civil society faces across the Global Majority. When digital forensics is combined with incident response procedures, there is a greater chance of understanding threats and preventing harm. In this Circle, Global Majority labs and their partners will facilitate a discussion around the challenges and resources needed to strengthen forensic capacities and skills of the South. Participants will also map pathways to improve a collaborative flagship initiative developed by multiple threats labs and organizations, which serves as a documentation repository to boost consented forensics on civil society (check it out here: forensics.socialtic.org). All are invited including practitioners, forensic experts, members of helplines, threat labs, digital safety trainers.
How We Investigate: Uncovering Digital Surveillance	This Circle brings together journalists and civil society researchers from around the world who investigate the use, procurement of digital surveillance. Participants can connect, share their work, and exchange investigative tactics and strategies that have worked for them. Given the public nature of this event, we encourage participants to share only what they feel comfortable disclosing with others in the Circle.
Imaginaries Futures (Part 2)	This is part 2 of a 2 part series. Participants will explore how the current financial system shapes both possibilities and limitations for funding. Through guided collective inquiry and speculative ideation, participants will examine structural barriers, map dependencies, and reflect on the governance of financial flows. Rather than offering ready-made solutions, the Circle creates space for imagining new funding architectures - grounded in solidarity, care, and resistance t- could support more just and resilient futures. This is an exploratory phase for developing a shared language, identifying questions, and exploring potential directions for building alternative financial realities.
Threads of Solidarity: Connecting through Palestinian Tatreez	Get a hands-on training to begin stitching one simple Palestinian tatreez (embroidery) motif.Through a meditative embroidery exercise, participants will hear few powerful stories of stitched encryption, the land, and resistance. There are only enough supplies for approximately 20 people, but all are welcome to join and listen in to the storytelling.
Media vs. Censors - Sharing Expertise	This Circle focuses on facilitating exchange among media and publishers of all sizes who are trying to bring their content to autocracies, either in their own country from exile, or on the international stage. Questions covered include: What impact do these conditions have on editorial work?; What do shutdowns mean for distribution, and how do communicators and recipients deal with them?; What learnings from the past can help our future goals?
Navigating Anonymity and Truth	Anonymity is often a methodology used in creative outputs, or as a safety measure that allows expression while preventing detection and outing. Participants will share how they use anonymity in their work; what makes particular "anonymous" content more trustworthy; and what are its potential and limits in the current context of increased surveillance, disinformation, automation and militarization. Participants will also discuss anonymity impacts our relationship with truth and political organizing.
Numun Fund Session Part 2
Regional Digital Rights Alliances - Lessons & Collaboration	This Circle is an invitation for thinkers and participants from across the globe to discuss lessons learnt building alliances, and create a space of mutual learning around this topic. Every region has been facing digital rights challenges and creating it's own impact stories, building collectives and alliances to raise awareness and advocate for citizen's digital rights. During the discussion participants will map the main digital trends and challenges they are facing in their respective regions. The goal of the Circle is to create a network of connected defenders that can continue to share communications with each other around the collective issues they are experiencing.
The State of Digital Security Practitioners in Eastern Europe: Surviving the Funding Crisis as a Community	According to a March 2025 assessment across six EU Eastern Partnership countries, half of surveyed digital security practitioners reported that their organizations or projects had lost more than 75% of resources due to USG funding cuts. Sixty percent said they expected to continue their work for no more than six months, with 40% limited to just three months of operations. These findings—due to be updated in August—illustrate the severity of the funding crisis. This Circle will bring together participants from Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus to share how the crisis is affecting their communities, and to explore strategies and tactics for sustaining critical support to at-risk civil society in the region. Participants will also discuss recommendations for funders and partners, as well as the overall state of the digital security sector.
Digital security in LATAM for small organizations	Many of the methodologies, risk mapping and approaches to digital security - even from civil society (such as SAFETAG) - are adapted and work for medium and large organizations. Participants will explore the risks and digital protection strategies that have been implemented in Colombia, Costa Rica or other Latin American countries for small organizations and isolated individuals.
How to Investigate Surveillance Technologies? Methods and Challenges from South America	Drawing on the results of a long-term investigation in South America on surveillance technologies, participants will discuss research strategies and methods used by civil society organizations and researchers to expose a market that is both vast and opaque. The goal of this Circle is to share concrete experiences that can help build a more collaborative, effective approaches. Some tactics that will be covered include: tracing supply chains to identify manufacturers and distributors; searching public procurement platforms for contracting agreements; verifying and analyzing leaked documents; filing freedom of information requests; consulting international trade databases; and applying more technical tactics, including forensic analysis of devices, software security assessments, tracking malicious infrastructure, and monitoring network traffic for suspicious indicators.

Queer Rights Village	Global Gathering Attendee Coalition	The Queer Rights booth will provide space for LGBGTQI+ attendees to this year’s Global Gathering. We have a welcome circle on day 2, and space for more circles on Day 3- tell us your ideas! This space is an intersectional queer feminist space that embraces emotion and embodiment and is meant to be explicitly decolonial, antiracist, and transfeminist. We encourage new people to stop by, and allies with a lot of experience in digital rights to make themselves available to our new community members.

Amnezia VPN	Amnezia VPN	Amnezia VPN is an open-source project that helps people bypass internet censorship and protect their privacy. At our booth, we will present updates on our tools and research into how censorship is evolving, especially in authoritarian contexts. We also want to create an interactive space that connects technology and art. Visitors will be able to: - Explore how we track and analyze website blocks across different regions - Listen to a playlist of songs banned in Russia for political, queer, or cultural reasons - Browse books with real examples of censored or redacted content - Contribute their own stories of censorship in music, literature, media, or code from their countries Together, we'll build a shared archive of artistic and digital resistance. The goal is to spark new conversations and collaborations between developers, researchers, and creatives.
Palestine Booth	Solidarity Network of Palestinians and Allies	As we approach two years into the US-Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and across Palestine, and as we witness Western powers' unconditional material support for it, we want to make use of the space we have to hold conversations on how to understand this genocide, and 77 years of ethnic cleansing and occupation, how it intersects deeply with our spaces, and how we - as digital rights activists, academics, educators, researchers, technologists, human rights defenders, and journalists - can and should shape our work to engage meaningfully in this topic. We will also use the space to honor the lives of our martyrs, raise funds for our contacts in Gaza, and host Tatreez (embroidery) sessions to inspire conversations about solidarity through collective weaving. We will intersect this cause with other contexts of digital military warfare and exploitation as a space to learn, be in solidarity, and imagine what resistance against tech-assisted imperialism can look like.
No Mud No Lotus	Present Moment Enterprises	Take a moment to breathe amid the busy-ness of the gathering and the overwhelm of tech and the times we are living in. Present Moment's No Mud No Lotus booth offers guided meditation, breathing practice, listening circles, and periods of silence to help listen, speak, and act mindfully amid all the demands and offerings of the event. Move through the mud to find the lotus of your interconnectedness with the beauty of our world, the generosity of our fellow humans, the grief and the joy that we share in this moment.
Fight For the Future	Fight For the Future	Fight for the Future (Fight) is group of artists, engineers, activists, and technologists who have been behind the largest online protests in human history, channeling Internet outrage into political power to win public interest victories previously thought to be impossible. We fight for a future where technology is a force for liberation- not oppression. At our booth we'll have information about our current projects including our major campaigns fighting surveillance tech and online censorship, and we'll also share our experiences building, adapting, and experimenting with a variety of civil society protection tools, including the results of our "de-googling." At the booth, we'll also introduce our new managed hosting biz for OS activist tools. Fight is also a advocacy leader at the intersection of technology and LGBTQ+ justice with in the U.S., and we are particularly interested in the chance to learn from and hear more about the challenges faced by trans folks in the Global majority. Come by for cool zines, stickers and discussions on building solidarity, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and mutual aid cross-regionally.
Air – A New Private Messenger	Phoenix R&D	At the last two Global Gatherings, we presented our work on building the foundations of a new, secure messenger with a very low metadata footprint.|This year, we are closer than ever to releasing the first beta version of our app, and we would like to show you what we have been working on since the last Global Gathering.||Depending on our engineering progress, you may be able to test a beta version yourself.
PiRogue Tool Suite	Defensive Lab Agency	This booth will demo the PiRogue Tool Suite project, allows attendees to test the PiRogue and Colander, and ask questions about its usage and features. The booth will have a PiRogue and Colander running and attendees will be able to see it in action and get the network traffic of their mobile phone being analyzed. The main PTS developer, along with an expert in information security, will be there to explain how it works and answer technical questions.
OnionShare	OnionShare	OnionShare is an open-source tool that lets you securely and anonymously share files, host websites, and chat with friends using the Tor network. OnionShare is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and also on Android and iOS for mobile. We will demo how to share files across the Tor network using OnionShare. We will also workshop on how to get started with contributing to OnionShare project.
Bitpart: A Secure Automated Messenger	Throneless Tech	Try out Bitpart, an open-source, secure, automated messaging tool that works over an app you probably already have installed on your phone -- Signal. Explore our 5 use cases for Bitpart, and help us brainstorm more. We'll also be handing out invite codes to create your own account on our hosted platform.
ZoqueLabs	ZoqueLabs	From Android exploits to civil society defense - swing by and let's talk about defense. We're a digital security lab researching, building, and sharing defenses for social movements and communities in resistance.
Greenhost	Greenhost	As Greenhost we provide services to a lot of the typical Global Gathering visitors. Not only as a webhosting, e-mail and VPS provider, but also as the platform used by a lot of our community's VPN providers.||We also have expertise in self-hosting of diverse software packages, like alternatives to Google Suite or Office 365. We do this with open source applications like Nextcloud, OnlyOffice or Zullip. We developed Stackspin to make managing applications like this easier. Test Lists Booth	Netalitica	Netalitica Booth will introduce you to the "Test Lists Project". We hire local researchers to update the URL test lists (aka Citizen Lab lists) of multiple countries, which are then used by network probes (e.g. OONI Probe) to uncover Internet censorship. Come to our booth to learn how to update the test list of your country, see the results of our project and check-out the vacant research positions!
Project Ainita CTI Platform Demo	Project Ainita	Project Ainita's Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) portal aims to be a one stop shop for latest intel, live Internet measurements and contextual analysis for circumvention tool makers, researchers, journalists, funders, decision makers and stakeholders needing current and deep understanding of a country's Internet status. We will be providing a live demo of the CTI portal as well as Internet maps of a few countries. We intend on being fully available for Q&A and hope to foster rich brainstorming discussions of scaling CTI in other needed contexts.
The Collective Power Playbook	FabRiders	The Collective Power Playbook is a resource and a diverse network of people who convene with the intent of breaking down knowledge hierarchies and building solidarity. This playbook will help you build your facilitation skills by providing exercises you can do with groups and teams, and provide you with methodologies and processes for convening effectively. Fear on the Net: how the Venezuelan internet broke after the elections.	VE sin Filtro / Conexion Segura y Libre	What happens when a government uses the internet as a weapon? How the post-election crisis was a breaking pointVenezuela's presidential election, digital repression became routine. Generalized censorship, mass surveillance, arrests made viral, new uses of drones and tech-powered intimidation became daily life. At this booth, we present updated findings from our Networks of Control report and beyond: research that documents one of the most dramatic escalations in digital repression in Latin America. You'll learn how the government prevented knowledge of vote-transparency efforts, persecuted activists and CSOs, used tech to prevent opposition candidates to participate, and made-up lies to never publish their final voting numbers. How apps like Signal, X, Tiktok and Youtube got blocked, and why they are coming after Whatsapp. How social media posts led to arrests; how drones, doxxing, viralized arrests, device searches and more were used to intimidate protesters and silence a country. We will share case details and research we couldn't publish publicly, and highlight the research and work of other Venezuelan organizations. We'll also share how we collected this evidence-from real-time network tests to OSINT-and offer space to discuss tactics, tools, and what comes next. This is a chance to understand not just the data, but the human cost.

We know that in order to carry out our work, it is vital to think about feminist digital infrastructures from the South that are not privative and that allow us to put care at the center of technologies.

Quad9	Quad9	Quad9 info booth is a great way to learn more about using the DNS to block malicious events, for researchers in particular as well as other security and privacy DNS interested people. We will be demoing the Quad9 Event Dashboard (QED), localisation of Quad9 services and how to start using recursive DNS at no cost with very little hassle.
Tech Global Institute's convening on Labour Justice in Tech Supply Chains	Tech Global Institute	In early August 2025, TGI will publish the first of its three-part investigative research paper series on labour justice issues in global tech supply chains, pointedly in the content moderation and data annotation industries in Asia. The first paper not only outlines rights harms, but also explores socioeconomic enablers in Asia that make these markets fertile grounds for outsourced digital labour, and how this invisible labourforce, through multiple grassroots movements in the region, is fighting for better digital futures not only for themselves but for us all. We wish to disseminate a summary version of this paper-an illustrated brochure-through the booth, and convene discussions around the theme.
Quick RESIDENT: Our new-old strong mixed format of digital security assistance to CSOs	RESIDENT.NGO	Please arrive at 13:00 to take full advantage of the Quick RESIDENT overview and discussion. The RESIDENT's team has been providing digital security assistance to CSOs and independent media for 10+ years, constantly exploring and mixing different formats to find the best ways to provide the orgs with what is actually needed in their current context.Our digisec audits evolved and changed again and again, as well as our long-term support to high-risk orgs, short rapid response engagements, educational activities, awareness events, and mix of everything in different proportions. Recently something appeared as a repetitive format we offer to a certain type of organisations again and again, and the accumulated experience materialised in a kind of "officially established" format we started to call "Quick RESIDENT" - usually a super intense engagement ("raid"), with a mix of 1) quick digisec assessment (about 10% of the time) + 2) implementation of the selected security measures right away (about 90% of the time, mostly configuring google workspaces, accounts, messengers, laptops, smartphones etc) + sometimes an educational activity. During the booth we would like to tell more about the "Quick RESIDENT" format, its pros and cons, what are the orgs' profiles we offer the format; as well as to ask practitioners from other countries and regions if they have something similar, what are their main formats of core digisec assistance to CSOs, what are the recent changes in their formats.

Social Media Platforms From The Margins - a Reimagination	Point of View	As part of Point of View's broader campaign on Platform Accountability, focused on holding big tech like Meta responsible for digital harms, we created a reimagined vision of social media from the perspective of marginalized communities, including women, queer people, and people with disabilities. These communities are among the most active users of social media, yet are rarely seen as its core demographic. Our booth showcases an alternate platform, imagined across both online and offline spaces, rooted in feminist principles of autonomy, agency, and choice, centering the needs, voices, and imaginations of those often pushed to the margins of digital design.
Human in the Loop: Exploring Gen AI Futures in the Global South	Digital Futures Lab	Digital Futures Lab's booth serves as a one-stop station for participants to learn more about our 'Human in the Loop' project, which harnesses foresight methods and creative storytelling to portray nuanced narratives around the unintended impacts of Gen AI. Participants also have the opportunity to engage in an interactive futuring activity about the technological futures we deserve! The activity will prompt participants to address significant "what if?" questions regarding policy and practice related to Gen AI innovation, creating a people-driven roadmap for the decisions we must make today.
