Today we received a message from Apple that they are removing our Amnezia VPN app from the AppStore upon the request of Roskomnadzor. We've been able to overcome protocol blocking, we've been able to overcome server blocking, but there's nothing we can do against Apple. They are now the largest provider of censorship in the world, and they will do anything for profits. You can see the full list of removed apps at https://applecensorship.com/app-store-monitor/na/RU , there are now 409 apps in the Utilites category, where most of the utilities are VPNs.

Is Amnezia VPN only based in Russia or else where as well??

How do you by-pass / circumvent blocking in the locations you operate Amnezia Free in?

1. Rent a VPS (virtual private server) on any hosting provider

• The only downside is that people from the countries like Russian, Iran and Myanmar are dealing with censorship everyday. Today, AmneziaVPN software has been removed from Russian App Store for the demand of Russian Authorities.

Do you know how people can still access and download it even if its been taken down from the app store? How can the community help, in addition to reaching journalists to amplify this??

• Applications for various operating systems are available for free on our Github https://github.com/amnezia-vpn/amnezia-client/releases. iOS user can create new Apple ID in the region that do not censor our apps or update their region in Apple ID settings to download latest available version. We will create detailed step-by-step instructions for people who have faced these kind of issues.
