Community Updates
The community dedicated this Glitter Meetup to connect and update each other with low key news and we discussed some archiving projects and the situation in Brazil:
- DIY Academic Archiving: Sharing data and curating research materials for posterity, pedagogy and play. https://archives.reanimatingdata.co.uk/s/fays/page/welcome#?c=&m=&s=&cv=&xywh=-1119%2C-1%2C4685%2C3264
- OpenArchive is a veteran research and development organization dedicated to the ethical collection and long-term preservation of mobile media. https://open-archive.org/
- In the other hand, Brazil is on crazy mode right now, each municipality has been handling the pandemic on its own. Since federal and state support is non-existance to the most part. Bolsonaro surprisingly caught COVID just as he and his family is being investigated for several crimes that could get him impeached.
- The worrying state of Brazil and some feminist projects announced during the Glitter Meetup, led us to work on various town halls dedicated to these topics.
