The Festival

The IFF is an initiative that brings together the various communities throughout the world fighting online surveillance and censorship to collaborate, share knowledge, and foment solidarity. Throughout the year, the IFF provides various services to the Internet Freedom community, culminating in a week-long unconference in Valencia Spain. The unconference itself brings together over 1,000 activists, journalists, technologists, and human rights defenders fighting surveillance and censorship. Made by the community, for the community it is one of the largest, most diverse and inclusive unconferences in the Internet freedom community. Registration opens in the Fall.

Virtual Community Hubs

Various virtual spaces exists where you can connect with the community throughout the year, including:

  • Weekly Glitter Meetup on the IFF Mattermost

The weekly meetup is a great place to meet others working on Internet Freedom throughout the world, ask questions, share your work, and learn about other projects. It happens every Thursday at 10am EST on the IFF Mattermost instance. Learn more.

  • The IFF Weekly Newsletter
