This page has all the information you need regarding how to apply for the equity fund.
The Equity Fund

The fund supports travel, lodging, security, and visa assistance for individuals from at-risk communities or operating in low-resourced environments, who would not be able to attend otherwise.
How to Apply
Please note that the application process has slightly changed this year.
You must first apply to attend the Global Gathering (GG). Once your GG application is approved, you will then receive the Equity Fund (EF) application.
We strongly encourage you to apply for your GG ticket as soon as possible so you can begin the Equity Fund application process without delay.🌱 Over the years, our Equity Fund has supported more than 700 individuals from low resourced, underrepresented communities to attend the Global Gathering and advance into leadership roles. This number includes fellows from our fellowship program, which is currently paused indefinitely.
🌱 Through the fund, we have developed a robust, trauma-informed Code of Conduct and implementation processes, as well as security and safety protocols and equity tools. Together, these have been widely recognized as a benchmark for community-centered, rights-respecting events.
“This was the first space where many of us from the global majority felt truly welcomed into the digital security field. For the first time, I felt like I belonged — a feeling echoed by many others who found access through community.”
— Nigerian Digital Rights Defender
