🌱 Over the years, our Equity Fund has supported more than 700 individuals from underrepresented communities to attend the Global Gathering and advance into leadership roles, including fellows from our fellowship program, which is currently paused indefinitely.

🌱Through the fund, we have developed a robust, trauma-informed Code of Conduct and implementation processes, as well as security and safety protocols and equity tools. Together, these have been widely recognized as a benchmark for community-centered, rights-respecting events.

“This was the first space where many of us from the global majority felt truly welcomed into the digital security field. For the first time, I felt like I belonged — a feeling echoed by many others who found access through community.”

— Nigerian Digital Rights Defender

The Equity Fund

We are relaunching the Equity Fund in 2026, after a brief pause in 2025.

The fund supports travel, lodging, security, and visa assistance for individuals from at-risk communities or operating in low-resourced environments,  who would not be able to attend otherwise.

How to Apply

If your application to the Global Gathering is approved, you will receive information about how to apply for the 2026 Equity Fund. We highly encourage you to apply for your ticket as soon as possible so you can begin your EF application as soon as possible.
