By attending this session, participants will learn about:

  • How trauma is defined and its psychological impacts, according to the field of psychology.
  • How trauma shows up in the body and its effect on psychological health
  • Critics of the application of Western trauma models, especially for communities in the global south,
  • How trauma is understood and expressed within a person’s environment and communities.
