Understanding the surveillance landscape in Myanmar after the coup
We will discuss how rights defenders are working under digital surveillance, internet shutdowns, and censorship in Myanmar with Tun Tun Aung, focusing on the ground situation after the coup.
Guest speaker: Tun Tun Aung (he/him) is originally from Myanmar, but currently living in France. He works as a freelance English to Burmese Localization Consultant, and he is also pursuing a Master's degree in Technical Communication and Localization at the University of Strasbourg. He has worked in various fields including Burmese politics, journalism, digital security, web development, and software localization.
